POSITION PURPOSE:
The CDL Driver's responsibilities center on adhering to a set of core functions and duties, which include performing pre and post trip inspections on their vehicle, having extensive knowledge on safe and efficient loading/unloading techniques, and expertly operating tractor/trailer/yard truck/straight truck equipment. In addition, they must review paperwork for completeness and accuracy, verify order quantities, employ specialized tools which include pallet jacks, ramps, load bars, and other devices to unload products, comply with DOT regulations, adhere to all local, state and Federal requirements and ensure timely delivery while communicating professionally with customers and vendors.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive the outlined paperwork detailing the route, as well as instructions and the assigned equipment for the job.
Carefully review the DVIR and acknowledge the previous inspection report before commencing with vehicle operations.
