Other Compensation Information

• Employees who are scheduled to work between midnight and 3:00 am will receive a night differential payment of $.75 per hour. However, this will not apply to those who end their shifts at midnight or begin working at 3:00 am.
• Additional Pay for Weekends: Employees who work on the weekends can earn an extra $2.00 per hour with the weekend differential. The qualifying hours are from 12:00 a.m. on Saturday to 11:59 p.m. on Sunday.

Year End Bonus

As a way to appreciate the efforts of its staff throughout the year, Publix grants a Holiday Bonus every November.

Publix is offering a bonus worth 8 hours of pay for new associates who are hired prior to July 1.

First-year associates who are hired after the first of July will not receive a bonus. Associates who continue to work for the company may be eligible for a bonus in the years that follow, provided they are still employed at the time the bonus check is distributed. The bonus amount will be equal to 8 hours of pay.

Required Qualifications

• be at least 18 years old
• be able to work nights
• be able to work weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time
• obtain certification in pallet truck and forklift operations (on or before his or her start date in the position)
• be able to lift a minimum of 67 pounds
• be able to bend, stoop, and twist
• be able to stand for long periods of time
• be able to operate a pallet truck or forklift without any part of his or her body exposed outside of the operator compartment
• successfully complete the following tests (before his or her start date in the position)

• be able to read, write, and solve math problems
• be able to interpret, understand, follow, and communicate instructions
