Logistics Delivery Specialist

Job Description:

The employee in the Delivery Specialist role is responsible for operating store vehicles to transport items to professional clients safely and with effectiveness. In addition to this, the job includes handling cash for cash-on-delivery orders and retrieving merchandise that customers wish to return.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Drive company-owned vehicles for the purpose of transporting merchandise to clients safely and effectively.
• Ability to use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, complete daily vehicle inspections, etc.
• In charge of ensuring that vehicles are kept in a clean and well-maintained condition, as well as conducting daily inspections before use.
• Responsible for ensuring the security of delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, handheld devices, and cash collected consistently.
• Collect customer refunds, such as new items, warranty claims, core returns, and complete the driver return form.
• Relay any customer issues or specific requirements to the store management team.
• Notify the store manager promptly about any required vehicle maintenance, accidents, or damage to vehicles.
• At the close of business, make sure the fuel tank is topped up and the vehicle is securely locked and protected.
• Follow the company's guidelines for recording your work hours.
• Other tasks as needed, such as attending to customers, tidying up, restocking and organizing inventory, setting up merchandise displays, completing errands, managing product returns, receiving and shelving new stock, and more.
• Occasionally, may support clients, perform cashier duties, and assist with merchandising responsibilities as needed, such as handling phone inquiries, sales, and customer service
• Additional responsibilities may be delegated as needed.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES

Required:

• Proficiency in rapidly pairing alphanumeric patterns.
• Effective communication abilities in social interactions.
• Skill to adjust promptly and efficiently to evolving delivery circumstances.
• The driving history should align with the criteria outlined in the corporate 14/18-point driving record evaluation.
• It is essential to hold a valid state driver's license and satisfy the driving eligibility criteria set by the company.

Desired:

• Knowledgeable about components used in automobiles.
• Proficiency in handling various light store machinery.
• Proficiency in multiple languages, with a preference for fluency in Spanish.
